EDISON — The Middlesex County Democratic Organization has endorsed Joseph R. Biden for President of the United States; Cory Booker for U.S. Senate; Frank Pallone (NJ-6) and Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12) for the U.S. House of Representatives; Nancy Pinkin for County Clerk; and Charles Tomaro and Leslie Koppel for the Board of Chosen Freeholders.
“In these challenging times, we need focused, decisive and responsible leadership from the White House to county government,” said MCDO Democratic Chairman Kevin McCabe. “I am proud that Democrats across Middlesex County have decided to support these men and women, who have each proven that they can lead in the most trying of circumstances.”
In accordance with the MCDO’s By-Laws, the Secretary of the MCDO placed a notice soliciting for consideration any person wishing to seek the endorsement of the Organization for the June 2 Primary Election for U.S. Congress, County Clerk, and Board of Chosen Freeholders. No candidates other than the ones who received tonight’s endorsement sought support from the MCDO. County Committee members also overwhelmingly voted to support Biden for president and Booker for U.S. Senate in an advisory vote.
Because of the ongoing health epidemic, the MCDO conducted its convention via a tele-town hall meeting.
