Shape the Future — Get Involved

Thank You for Your Interest in Volunteering

We have a lot of work to do as we head into the Fall. In New Jersey, and around the country we are going to have to work hard to make sure that Democrats secure the victories necessary to help our working families get ahead. In order to do that we need to have help reaching voters everywhere possible. Help us with this by clicking one of the links below.

Volunteer With Us

Join our efforts to mobilize voters across Middlesex County for all candidates on the ballot. You will have the opportunity to organize and join virtual and in-person events to talk to voters about what is important to them and their community. Volunteer efforts will be supported by the MCDO, and we encourage everyone — from Old Bridge to Carteret — to sign up and help us put together local events. Together, we’ll make sure every voice is heard and every vote counts.

Intern with MCDO

Get a front-row seat to the democratic process! You’ll help organize events, support campaigns, and gain firsthand experience in what it takes to run a local campaign. Our internship program provides real-world experience and professional development to help you take the next step in your career. Many of our leaders started as interns, so we know how vital these experiences are in shaping the next generation of leaders and operatives.

Work with MCDO

We’re seeking passionate, team-oriented individuals to join our fast-paced, mission-driven team — both at the MCDO headquarters in Edison, NJ, and out in the field supporting local campaigns. Employment at the MCDO requires in-person work, and previous experience with the Democratic process is preferred. We’re looking for hardworking people eager to learn, collaborate, and make a real impact by mobilizing voters every day.

The Middlesex County Democratic organization (MCDO), is committed to diversity among its staff and interns, and recognizes that its continued success requires the highest commitment to obtaining and retaining a diverse team that provides the best quality services to supporters and constituents. The MCDO is an equal opportunity employer and it is our policy to recruit, hire, train, promote and administer any and all personnel actions without regard to sex, race, age, color, creed, national origin, religion, economic status, sexual orientation, veteran status, gender identity or expression, ethnic identity or disability, or any other legally protected basis. The MCDO is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities in the hiring and internship application process and on the job, as required by the American with Disabilities Act. The MCDO will not tolerate any unlawful discrimination and any such conduct is strictly prohibited.
