First lady Jill Biden hit the campaign trail in Edison on Friday to help deliver victory to Gov. Phil Murphy in the upcoming election.
Biden along with Murphy and NJ First Lady Tammy Murphy participated in an Early Vote Rally at Middlesex College. Also present were Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver and Sam Joshi, Democratic candidate for Edison mayor.
Biden is the first White House surrogate to campaign for Murphy in New Jersey.
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have endorsed Murphy’s bid for re-election in New Jersey.
“Governor Murphy is getting folks vaccinated to beat the pandemic,” Biden said. “He’s delivering economic relief to working families and supports my plans to build back better by investing in our infrastructure and in our people – with child care, elder care, paid leave, and more.”
