MCDO Nominating Convention – March 11, 2026
PUBLIC NOTICE
The Middlesex County Democratic Organization (MCDO), in accordance with the MCDO Constitution and Bylaws, solicits for consideration any registered Democrat intending to run with the “Middlesex County Democratic Organization” slogan in the following 2026 primary elections:
- United States Congress (6th Congressional District)
- United States Congress (12th Congressional District)
- County Surrogate
- County Commissioner
Participating candidates submitted all required documents to the County Party by 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026. The documents that needed to be submitted are outlined in the MCDO Constitution and can be accessed on the homepage of the MCDO website (www.mcdonj.org).
Candidates running for United States Senate who seek the support of the Middlesex County Democratic Party will be allowed to address County Committee Members at the convention. Participating candidates emailed the required documents by 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, in order to qualify to participate in the convention.
The Middlesex County Democratic Organization (MCDO) will hold its annual nominating convention on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The venue details and a list of candidates participating in the convention will be shared in accordance with the MCDO Constitution and Bylaws.

All duly recognized County Committee Members will have the opportunity to participate in the convention as we nominate candidates to run with the MCDO’s endorsement for countywide and federal legislative offices in the upcoming June 2, 2026, Democratic Primary. Then, as prescribed in our Constitution and Bylaws and our long-standing custom and practice, a hand advisory vote will be conducted for MCDO County Committee Members present in the convention room for the office of Senator of New Jersey.
