A BALLOT WILL BE TEXT OR EMAILED TO YOU AT THE START OF THE MEETING’S VOTING PERIOD

The MCDO regularly requests updated contact information for County Committee Members from each town’s Municipal Chair. At the beginning of the year, we mailed and emailed each County Committee Member a letter with the contact information we had on file. If we have a cell phone number and/or email address for you, your secret ballot will be sent directly to that contact. Email addresses may be shared by up to two (2) County Committee Members, and each will receive a separate email with their individual ballot. However, each County Committee Member must have a unique cell phone number on file to receive a ballot via text.

Search your inbox for the following information (make sure to also check your spam folder!):

  • Sender’s name “Middlesex County Democratic Organization
  • Sender’s email address in*********@****************dy.com

The text message you would have received included “MCDO: New ballot notification. Vote here” with the link to your individual ballot.

Click on the link provided by email or by text to cast your vote. You will only be able to vote once, which means if you clicked the link in your email, the link sent to your cell phone will not allow you to vote again (or vice versa).

Once you see the “Thank You!” screen, you are done! You cannot change your vote after it is submitted. The voting period will be announced during the meeting, and the winner(s) will be announced after the voting period has ended.

IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE THE TEXT OR EMAIL – HERE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTE PROVISIONALLY

If we do not have an email address and/or cell phone number on file for you, you will need to vote using the provisional voting system by calling the MCDO HQ. You will need to know your State File ID number before calling to verify your identity. You can get your State File ID number by signing into the NJ Division of Elections System. Your profile will look like this:

Below are the instructions on how to access the ballot over the phone:

        • Step 1 — Call the MCDO HQ (732-906-3680) during the voting period
        • Step 2 — Verify your identity with a member of the MCDO Team
        • Step 3 — Cast your vote by following the directions read to you
        • Step 4 — Hang up and dial the number provided to call back into the Convention

Once you have submitted your vote using the online ElectionBuddy ballot, you will be ineligible to cast a vote through the phone-based provisional voting system.

Call or text the MCDO HQ (732-906-3680) if you require assistance casting your vote.
