WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT TIME YOU GO VOTE

VOTING EARLY THROUGH VOTE BY MAIL

The County Clerk’s Office will begin mailing out vote by mail ballots to voters on the permanent vote by mail list and to voters who recently requested to receive a vote by mail ballot 45 days before an election. The commencement of mailing of vote by mail ballots for the November 2026 General Elections will begin on September 19, 2026.

You can check whether or not you should be receiving a vote by mail ballot by looking up your voter profile on the NJ Division of Elections website.

Click on Mail-In Ballot History after you sign in (see image below).

You will see the information for the recent at the top of the next page if you are expected to receive a vote by mail ballot for the upcoming election (example below).

If you have not received your vote by mail ballot by October 1, 2026, fill out and send in a replacement ballot request form before November 1, 2026, to receive a replacement vote by mail ballot. Call the County Clerk’s Office (732-745-4202) if you have questions about receiving a vote by mail ballot.

Your vote by mail ballots must be returned by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day (November 3) to be counted. 

No postage is necessary to vote by mail, but the fastest way to ensure your vote by mail ballot is processed is to return it using a drop box in your town. Click on the button below to find the location of one of the 30+ drop boxes in Middlesex County.

If you still have your vote by mail ballot, drop it off in one of the 34 drop boxes in Middlesex County before 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, to make sure it is received in time to count!! DO NOT PLACE IT IN THE MAIL UNLESS YOU CAN GUARANTEE THAT THE POST OFFICE WILL POSTMARK IT ON OR BEFORE NOVEMBER 3, 2026! Use the map below to get directions to a drop box closest to you.

IF YOU NO LONGER HAVE YOUR VOTE BY MAIL BALLOT, GO TO YOUR ASSIGNED POLLING PLACE TO CAST A PROVISIONAL BALLOT!! Call our Election Protection Hotline (732-906-3680) if you experience any issues voting on Election Day. 

VOTING EARLY AND IN-PERSON BEFORE EDAY

New Jersey passed a law in 2021 (P.L. 2021, c.40) permitting in-person early voting in New Jersey for primary and general elections.

Middlesex County voters can go to any of the ten (10) in-person early voting locations throughout the county using the same voting machine available on Election Day before any June or November election, regardless of where they are registered to vote.

No appointment is necessary when going to vote early and in person for the November 3rd General Election Below are the ten (10) early voting locations in Middlesex County:

East Brunswick Community Center, 721 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick

Minnie B. Veal Recreation Center, 1070 Grove Ave, Edison

Monroe Public Library, 4 Municipal Plaza, Monroe

New Brunswick Hub Teen Center, 411 Joyce Kilmer Ave, New Brunswick

Old Bridge Public Library, 1 Old Bridge Plaza, Old Bridge

Jankowski Community Center, 1 Olive Street, Perth Amboy

John F. Kennedy Public Library, 500 Hoes Lane, Piscataway

Sayreville Senior Center, 423 Main Street, Sayreville

South Brunswick Community Center, 124 New Road, Monmouth Junction

Acacia Youth Center (formerly Hungarian Manor), 95 Port Reading Ave, Woodbridge

VOTING ON ELECTION DAY
